Marriage of Architectural CADD and Estimating Software Gives Contractors A Total Solution for Design, Visualization, Construction Document Creation and Job Costing Avon, CT – July 23, 1999 – DATACAD LLC announced today that it will offer Estimator for Windows from CMS Estimating, Inc. (San Diego, CA) as a standard part of its popular DataCAD architectural design and drafting software. This integrated solution for building design, visualization, construction document creation, and cost estimating should greatly expand DataCAD’s appeal beyond its core architectural user base to include building, construction and remodeling firms. DataCAD 8.5, which includes Estimator, will begin shipping July 15, 1999. The Estimator for Windows will output to popular business accounting programs, such as Quicken® and Quickbooks®.
