Record Sales in Third Quarter Follow Well-Received Release of DataCAD 8.5 AVON, Conn. – November 3, 1999 – DATACAD LLC reported a record 47% increase in sales for the third quarter of 1999, as compared to 1998 revenues for the same period. This record sales increase followed the release of DataCAD® 8.5, a major enhancement to the firm’s award-winning architectural CADD software. Additionally, August 1999 was the highest sales month ever for the company, a record 37% increase over the previous sales record of June 1998, which followed the successful introduction of the first Windows version of DataCAD. DATACAD LLC’s overall sales for the first three quarters of 1999 are up 20% over 1998 revenues. "We attribute our fast-paced sales growth to a number of factors," said Mark Madura, president and CEO of DATACAD LLC. "DataCAD customer confidence is strong, with our best-ever sales month following the first major upgrade to our DataCAD Windows product. DataCAD’s affordability and ease-of-use is another factor that has helped us expand into new markets. Our fastest-growing market segment is builders and contractors, who need a professional, soup-to-nuts CADD and estimating solution but don’t want to pay the thousands of dollars mandated by other CADD programs. And improved performance and DWG compatibility is making DataCAD attractive to larger firms looking for a more cost-effective CADD alternative."
